 Aim

The aim of the human resources management specialization is to provide students with knowledge of personnel management processes, to develop skills necessary for professional management of people in the organization, and to provide knowledge related to payroll and labour law.

 

Our education is practically-based

The specialization study programme is conducted in cooperation with leading personnel consulting firms from southern Poland. Experienced personnel directors provide students with the knowledge and skills that employers require from specialists who deal with employees.

 

 A graduate has the knowledge in the field of:

  • effective employment and management of human resources
  • effective personnel management
  • principles, instruments and tools for motivating employees
  • staff development and improvement, including the preparation of development programmes and evaluation of their effectiveness
  • modern, active methods of working with groups, e.g. based on team and group coaching tools
  • applicable working time systems and rules for planning and monitorin the working time
  • rules of remuneration
  • paying income tax and social security contributions
  • rules of storing personal files and employee documentation
  • proper interpretation of labour law provisions
  • establishing an employment relationship and terminating an employment contract, both as an employee and on behalf of the employer
  • providing employees with opportunities for professional development by preparing appropriate development / training programmes


A graduate of the human resources specialization has the skills in:

  • designing an effective employee motivation system
  • acting as HR business partners affecting the organization's business  results
  • diagnosing, analysing and problem solving in the field of human resource management
  • calculating remuneration and knowing how to settle the accounts with the  Social Insurance Institution and the Tax Office
  • preparing a working time schedule in accordance with applicable law
  • keeping employee records

 

Ethics

 

  •  A graduate of the human resources management specialization is aware of the need for ethical and professional conduct of employees of the human resources department and the responsibility of the human resources manager
  • A graduate of the human resources management specialization is aware of the responsibility for the employer's violation of labour law.

Praca

Career opportunities

After completing the specialization in project management, the graduate can find employment in production, research and development units, supply and distribution services, and other technological, technical and organizational oriented enterprises.
